We are a creative, energetic group

As RF systems expand into higher frequencies and wider bandwidths, preserving signal integrity and fidelity has become a universal challenge. This panel will explore how advances in interconnects, passives, and active RF components address core engineering concerns, including minimizing loss, noise, and distortion, while optimizing SWaP-C, reliability, and repeatability. By presenting perspectives across the signal chain, the discussion will highlight real-world tradeoffs, integration challenges, and emerging technologies. Attendees will gain practical guidance on selecting, integrating, and optimizing components for next-generation, mission-critical applications in aerospace, defense, and communications, including phased array systems, space systems, and advanced microwave architectures.

We are a creative, energetic group

RF and microwave systems are only as strong as the components that carry, filter, and process their signals. This panel will examine how passive and active RF devices work together to address the universal challenge of transmitting information with maximum fidelity. Topics will include specifying low-loss cables and interconnects for maintaining signal integrity, high-performance filters for controlling noise and distortion, amplifiers and mixers for boosting and converting signals, and couplers/dividers for efficient power management. For the microwave community, these technologies are essential to advancing phased arrays, radar platforms, space systems, and next-generation microwave architectures. For practicing engineers and technicians, the panel provides practical guidance on selecting, integrating, and optimizing components to:

  • Minimize loss, noise, and distortion across the signal chain.
  • Optimize SWaP-C for size, weight, power, and cost.
  • Ensure reliability and repeatability under demanding conditions.
  • Accelerate integration and deployment by reducing NRE effort and design risk.
